Training and growth at Bottaro: an industry that evolves with its people
From the production sites in Novate and Delebio, a virtuous model of technical and human training that enhances skills, safety, and team spirit among all operators.
In the landscape of Italian industrial excellence, Bottaro stands out not only for the quality of its products, but also for its focus on human capital.
The company has chosen to invest in continuous training as a strategic lever to support technological innovation and professional development.
At the two production hubs in Novate and Delebio, every day is dedicated to passing on knowledge, responsibility, and passion. We spoke with Engineer Alberto Bottaro, who guided us behind the scenes of this integrated training approach.
Good morning, Engineer Bottaro. How does Bottaro invest in staff training?
Alberto Bottaro: Good morning. For us, training is not a one-off initiative, but a daily process. Each employee plays an active role in maintaining and advancing the company’s quality and safety standards. Training is continuous, hands-on, and tailor-made, with technical, regulatory, and operational paths suited to each individual’s role and experience.
So, efficiency comes not only from technology but also from people?
Alberto Bottaro: Exactly. Automated systems are incredibly powerful, but you need skilled personnel to operate them competently. Our operators are trained to understand the machines thoroughly, interpret data, and intervene safely in any situation.
How is training structured at the two plants?
Alberto Bottaro: In Novate Milanese, I personally oversee training with the department heads, while in Delebio, the plant manager takes charge. All managers are involved in monitoring skills. We work on multiple levels: onboarding new hires—often young and with no prior experience—and continuously updating long-term employees.
What happens when different generations work together in the company?
Alberto Bottaro: Something truly valuable happens. More experienced employees pass on practical knowledge and corporate culture, while younger ones bring energy, curiosity, and fresh perspectives. With mutual respect and listening, an extraordinary balance is achieved that helps everyone grow.
Safety is crucial in a production environment like yours. How do you handle it?
Alberto Bottaro: With the utmost seriousness. Every operator is trained to identify potential risks, respond promptly, and understand all equipment thoroughly. In particular, working with robotic machinery requires full awareness. Safety is a duty to the individual and to the team.
You’ve recently invested in a new platform. Can you tell us more?
Alberto Bottaro: We acquired an American-made platform for working at height, with an investment of over €70,000. It’s equipped with LED lights and built-in power outlets, offering both stability and versatility. This kind of technology allows our operators to work safely even under complex conditions.
What is the role of the logistics department in this context?
Alberto Bottaro: It’s central. The logistics team ensures continuity, precision, and traceability in every stage of production. They are highly skilled, attentive people who understand the importance of their work. Thanks to them, we meet the standards and deadlines required by our international clients.
Where training becomes shared value
At Bottaro, training is not an event but a daily habit.
It’s the lifeblood of a corporate culture that aims for excellence not only in products, but also in people.
Technical training, generational exchange, commitment to safety, and respect for each person’s skills make the Novate and Delebio plants a modern and human organizational model.
And as Engineer Bottaro reminds us, it is only through a prepared and motivated team that we can face today’s challenges and build the future with confidence.
